Die Arbeiten von Viola Yeşiltaç sind ein Mosaik aus scheinbar divergierenden Materialisierungen: expressionistische Zeichnungen und "objektive" Fotografien.
Werke, die im wesentlichen auf visuellen Elementen und Performances die auf Wörtern basieren. Was den Arbeiten kontinuität verleiht ist, das sich ständig weiterentwickelnde Repertoire von Themen und Formen, die von einem Format zum anderen, von einem Material zum naechsten und vom zwei- zu drei dimensionalem wandern, in einem Prozess, den Yeşiltaç selbst als "performativ" versteht. "Sowohl die Aneignung als auch die Neuorientierung ist ein performativer Akt, der in den Prozess eingebettet wird".
